Becoming a Member
When you join QUUF and participate in the life of this vital congregation, you will reap the benefits and share the responsibility for supporting this welcoming fellowship. You will belong. You will discover and develop a meaningful relationship with it, expressed differently by each of us, both as our personal spiritual home and as a place to connect, engage and grow while contributing to the congregation and the broader community.
Four Steps to Becoming a Member or Friend
- Fill out a Guest of Record Form, found at the Greeter Table.
- Attend a Newcomer Orientation Session. When you are ready to become more connected, you attend a three-hour Newcomer Orientation. This provides the basic information about what the congregation offers, and what the responsibilities are to belonging. You may choose to attend one of the following:Fall 2016 Orientations:
Wednesday, October 26 from 6-9pm
Saturday, October 29 from 9am-noon
Winter 2017 Orientations:
Wednesday, February 8th, 6-9pm
Saturday, February 11th from 9am–noon
Spring 2017 Orientations:
Wednesday, May 3rd from 6-9pm
Saturday, May 6th from 9am–noon
The sign-up for each Orientation is found on the Greeter Table in the foyer roughly 4 weeks before the class date. Greeters can answer questions on Sundays, as well as our Membership Coordinator, Abigael Crecca. During the week, you can contact Abi by email or at 360-379-0609.
- Choose to join as a Member or Friend. Some people become Members right away after completing the class. Others, who are still assessing if QUUF is right for them, may become QUUF Friends. (Click here to compare the benefits and responsibilities of Members and Friends.) After you have made this Member-or-Friend decision, you are officially affiliated with the congregation.
- Confirm your affiliation annually. You will be asked to reaffirm your affiliation by signing and returning an Affiliation/Pledge Card annually.
