The years teach much which the days never know,” Emerson once wrote. I have taken his words as an invitation to look back on the year just past and to reflect on the bigger picture or deeper meaning of the events that occurred. What have the years taught us that will help us to understand and deal with the facts of our daily lives, especially during such a turbulent year as last one has been.
