Even as many of us face anxiety and uncertainty, this season of thanksgiving invites us to pause, take one more deep breath, then reflect on and express our gratitude for the wonders, the beauty in this life and in the world around us.

The Reverend Carol McKinley is the affiliated community minister at the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation, where she coordinated its Faith in Action Ministry. Now retired, her passion for justice activism was nurtured by the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church, which she joined in the mid-1960s.
