I’ve been hired to create excitement — to inspire and motivate you for the 2023 Camp Bid-a-Lot Auction . But, I have to say, I’m inspired and motivated by the wonderful community at QUUF. Members are talented, creative, enthusiastic and generous.
The donations are coming in! But, we need more and the deadline is this Sunday, October 22nd. The auction supports QUUF financially, but it is also a community-building event with heart. It’s an opportunity to contribute your time, talents and treasures and connect with others, besides being QUUF’s most important fundraising event of the year.
At the foundation of our sure-to-be successful Auction are DONATIONS of every kind. Picnics, hand-knit socks, Nainaimo bars, Chili Dinners, who knows what will be offered! Please get your donations in!
DONATION forms can be found at the QUUF web site, in this Friday update and on the Auction bulletin board by the Church office. The deadline for DONATION forms is this Sunday, October 22nd. DONATE HERE!
Want to be part of the epic Camp Bid-a-Lot Slide Show which will have its premiere at the Auction event on November 11th? Please send your photos to selfie@quuf.org by October 27th so that your smiling face can be included in the slide show. Camp-themed photos would be fun to see!

Camp Bid-a-Lot Auction Event! Friday, November 11th — Mark your calendars! Get your tickets!
6-7pm: Bundle up! Mix and mingle under the stars! We’re having 3 bonfires in the garden. Toast marshmallows! Make classic or decadent s’mores at the grand s’mores bar! Gluten-free s’mores, too! Enjoy light snacks, wine, cider and drinks while you mix and mingle with friends. View auction donations on display in the Fellowship Hall. And meet me, Rose Spritzer!
7-8pm: Auction Program in the Sanctuary! Sigrid Cummings will be our Emcee. Joseph Bednarik will lead the Fund-a-Need. We’ll have music, the epic Camp Bid-a-Lot slide show and of course, I’ll be there. The Rev. Linda Hart and I are planning a thought-provoking presentation for the program. Friends, fun, frolicking, laughter, warm fuzzies while supporting QUUF. What more could you ask for?
Tickets: $15 suggested donation. 18 and under are free. Tickets are available on Sundays and in the Church Office Tuesday through Friday 10-3. With your help we’re on track to have a scent-sational auction!
