Job Description/Contract - Keyboardist and Coordinator of Special Music

Keyboardist Responsibilities:

1. Play piano on about three Sundays per month.

2. Play appropriate music for sections of the service designated by the minister, or if the minister is not present, by the lay leader or special speaker.

3. When appropriate, work with the Minister and/or Music Committee to integrate guest musicians (adult or children) into the Sunday service.

4. Play piano for some special occasions that are pre-arranged as much as possible in advance and for which additional compensation will be paid.

5. Arrive on time and well-rehearsed for rehearsals and services.

Coordinator of Special Music:

1. Select and coordinate special music for services opposite those involving the choir (about 3 Sundays/month). The music will be performed by the keyboardist and/or by one or more guest musicians, including singers.

2. Schedule and plan in conference with the Minister as appropriate.

3. Manage the budget made available for special music.

4. Submit to Treasurer monthly hard copy invoices for services rendered as well as guest musician payment forms.

Job Description/Contract - Non-Choir Accompanist

1. Play piano (or other instrument) for one Sunday per month. Accompany hymns. Select and play appropriate music for the sections of the service designated by the minister, or, if the minister is not present, by the lay leader or special speaker.

2. When appropriate, work with the Music Committee to integrate guest musicians (adult or children) into the Sunday service.

3. Play piano (or other instrument) for some special occasions and possible fifth Sundays (pre-arranged well in advance).

4. Arrive on time and well rehearsed for services.

5. Be good-humored, flexible and cooperative.

Job Description/Contract - Janitor

Cleaning services to be included:

1. Emptying trash and recycling, all RE rooms, loft and baths.

2. Vacuuming: all RE carpeted rooms, entry rugs, sanctuary rugs, loft.

3. Wiping down: all counters, tables (cleared surfaces), desks, baby station.

4. Dusting: windowsills, baseboard heaters, book shelves, piano, pulpit.

5. Cleaning and disinfecting: four bathrooms, kitchen.

6. Sweep and mop: spot mop sanctuary, kitchen, baths, RE baths and hallway. The entire sanctuary gets mopped once per month, when all chairs are up.

7. Glass: clean RE main entryway, sanctuary entrance doors with glass.

8. Rug Spotting: small manageable spots.

9. Spider patrol both buildings.

10. Sweep concrete driveway and ramp.

11. Put away washed dishes from dishwasher.
