Sunday Services

Purpose: To work with the minister or guest speaker in developing programs for Sunday morning worship services that support the mission and covenant of the congregation.

Membership: The committee shall consist of a chairperson appointed in a manner consistent with Bylaws Articles VII, Section 1(a) and Article VIII, Section 1(b).

Sunday Services Committee Responsibilities

1. Work with the minister and/or guest speaker to prepare and organize the Sunday worship services.

2. Provide and coordinate lay leaders, and provide appropriate instructions and training.

3. Advertise up-coming services weekly in the Leader and Peninsula Daily News, and monthly in the QUUF Newsletter.

4. Maintain regular communication with the Office Administrator.

5. Arrange for appropriate floral or other decorations for church services.

6. Collect suggestions from the congregation for Sunday and Forum services, and solicit feedback about the services from the congregation.

7. Consult with the Director of Religious Education and plan periodic and appropriate intergenerational services.

8. Coordinate with the Membership Committee and the Hospitality Committee as needed.

9. Provide and coordinate ushers and furnish appropriate instructions and training.

10. Coordinate the operation of the sound system and recording of the Sunday services.

11. Coordinate with the Music Director, Pianist or Choir as needed.
