Purpose: To promote an atmosphere of fellowship and community within the congregation.Membership: The committee shall consist of a chairperson appointed in a manner consistent with Bylaws Articles VII, Section 1(a) and Article VIII, Section 1(b).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all details of the kitchen including but not limited to the following: checking the inventory of supplies, ordering supplies, updating the list of needs for the kitchen to run smoothly, know how to run all appliances, empty the trash, return items left in the kitchen after potlucks and other functions.
- Take general responsibility for the kitchen, keep the counters clear, the dishwasher loaded or unloaded, things put away.
- Schedule members to provide coffee after Sunday services, to come early to make coffee, serve the coffee, and stay late to clean up.
- Help identify and supervise special task forces to organize and run special fellowship events such as pot lucks, fun and games nights, and receptions.
