Purpose: To serve as a clearing house to keep the Board of Trustees and the Fellowship members appraised of event, input, and educational opportunities from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and Pacific Northwest District (PNWD) organizations; research and communicate opportunities for QUUF to participate in and provide input to key UUA and PNWD events, discussions, and decisions.Membership: The committee shall consist of a chairperson appointed in a manner consistent with Bylaws Articles VII, Section 1(a) and Article VIII, Section 1(b), and at least two additional members selected by the chairperson.
Responsibilities:
- Research opportunities for UUA and PNWD events, activities, training, and key decisions of interest to QUUF (i.e., UUA General Assembly (GA), PNWD Annual General Meeting (AGM), Congregational Study/Action Process & Issues, etc.).
- Communicate those selected opportunities to the Board, Committees, and the Membership for consideration and possible action, as appropriate.
- Coordinate input on selected issues and activities for reporting to the UUA and PNWD.
- Prepare list of GA and AGM delegate candidates for Board consideration and selection.
- Work with the Board and Minister to encourage members (including youth) to attend GA and AGM; provide info on scholarships.
- Provide information and communication re: selected activities with other UU churches/fellowships that coincide with QUUF initiatives and priorities.
- Provide ongoing communication to the Membership (via the newsletter, bulletin notices, etc.) on selected events and information.
