Building and Grounds Committee

Purpose: To maintain, repair, and improve the physical property of the Fellowship.

Membership: The committee shall consist of a chairperson appointed in a manner consistent with Bylaws Articles VII, Section 1(a) and Article VIII, Section 1(b).

Responsibilities:

  1. Procure or recommend procurement of fixtures, appliances, furniture, or any other goods, services (including janitorial), or supplies deemed necessary or as directed by the Board.

  2. Obtain suitable bids or estimates for the Board in respect to purchases of goods or services, maintenance, decorating or other appropriate activities when so directed.

  3. Recommend to hire contractors and supervise contracted work.

  4. Organize work parties. Specify and prioritize projects to be done by the members.

  5. Appoint and supervise a subcommittee on landscape to complete and care for the grounds and plantings.

  6. Appoint and supervise a parking taskforce to deal with the immediate problems of parking for the building.
