Carter Center Presentation

On Wednesday July 12, 2017 in the QUUF Sanctuary at 7pm, sponsored by the QUUF Social and Environmental Justice Council, Barry Nickelsberg will speak about the Carter Center, founded in 1982 by President Jimmy Carter. The Center is responsible for pioneering public health approaches to preventing or controlling devastating diseases in Africa and Latin America. The Carter Center has monitored 103 elections worldwide and has brokered peace treaties in the Sudan, Columbia, Venezuela, the Middle East and in Asia through its Center for Conflict Resolution. In addition, the Carter Center is involved with issues concerning peace, mental health and human rights worldwide.
